GERD. You need to see a doctor if you are persistently experiencing heartburn, nausea, bad breath, or trouble in breathing.

Diarrhea: diarrhea could be a sign of poor digestive health. The food is not going through the proper digestion process. Whatever is eaten, is quickly moving through your digestive tract without breaking down, which results in loosen stool 3-4 or more times a day. When the food is not broken down, nutrients don’t get absorbed by the body and the body becomes weak.

Bloating: bloating is a sign of improper fluids or gas in the abdomen.it causes fullness in the tummy and also causes frequent burping. It is caused by indigestion in the first part of the digestive tract. Bloating is experienced in both the large and small intestines.

Leaky Gut: cracks or holes develop in the intestine, which causes entry of undigested food or toxins into the bloodstream. And this could lead to serious illness and sometimes fatal too. The low fiber in the diet of Americans has caused leaky gut in them. The use of alcohol and stress also leads to this illness.

Things you can do for your digestive health:

Check for your food intolerance:  regular bloating, abdominal pain, and diarrhea are symptoms of food intolerance. go for blood and allergy test and get to know to which food are you intolerant and avoid taking that food. You may see a positive change in your digestion if you replace your intolerant foods.

Lower your alcohol consumption and stress level: minimize your alcohol consumption and avoid stress. You may do exercise to relieve stress. Yoga and meditation also are stress busters. There are a lot of stress-relieving activities popular these days.

Get good sleep: good quality and a good period of sleep are necessary to digest your food inside the body. The body secretes enzymes while sleeping, which helps in the digestion of food. Improper sleep may cause serious illness in your gut

Take probiotics:  probiotics itself are good bacteria and help to increase the number of beneficial bacteria in the gut. These bacteria help the proper functioning of the gut. Probiotics can be obtained from our daily food. yogurt is rich in probiotics. Or supplements are also available in the pharmacy. one should consult their doctor to get them.

Change your diet: change your diet pattern to bring change in your digestive system. Replace your high-sugar and high-fat food with vegetables. Food rich in fiber is suitable for better gut functioning 

Stay hydrated: consuming water frequently cleans your intestine and makes the balance of bacteria in the gut.
